Early 20th century brass box showcasing striking design of flying dragons, each in relief with claws, whiskers, horns, and sinuous bodies, likely from around circa 1920's. the dragons with body twisting like a knot. Each side is decorated with dragons and incredible floral relief. hinged with sandalwood design lined, humidor perhaps for cigar box, with engraving mark of China on the base. front of the lid, generous central lip and flap facilitates locking and opening of the box, with the inside stout to hold and stay open. protective round felt on the base for surface protection. The measuring is 7" wide and 3" height, with 4" depth. The box is quite heavy and incredible aged condition. There is no appearance of breaks, cracks or significant scratches.
