Circa 1930. Chinese Art Deco, cigarette box in cast bronze. All original and in very good "as found" condition this finely cast bronze box is covered in beautifully cast detail on every surface. The typical Asian motif is of dragons in high relief and in every position, with their elongated bodies draped in every direction on the lid. The interior is lined in wood, possibly cedar, to hold cigarettes or small cigars and to preserve freshness. The box retains it's original piano style hinge in good working order and also has one interior folding support for the lid. Fine original patina. Marked on the bottom "China" 2" tall x 4 7/8" wide x 3 1/4" deep. Price 145
