Very charming two compartment bamboo tea ceremony utensil carrying basket, c.1915. Used for moon viewing and cherry blossom excursions where the tea ceremony was performed and the tea utensils could be fashionably carried. Beautiful weft diagonal weaves with lovely knot work on the handle. There is one shallow compartment on top and both top and bottom insides have silk cloth lining, albeit shredding a bit.
