Turn of the century c.1900 antique Japanese sake vase from Shigaraki, one of Japan's seven famed ceramic kilns, located just outside of Kyoto. The glaze is a mixture of lively blue greens creating an aurora effect. Slight `kamakizu` or kiln scar on one side but this adds to the wabi-sabi. (16" x 9½") (40cm x 24cm).
