Lovely Meiji Period bronze lantern with exceptional lattice and metalwork. 3 circular windows have swans and intertwined lattice work. The paper lining the inside has the wear of 110 years. In the bottom of the inside is a container to hold the oil and wick. The handle is a beautiful crafting of mythical dragons. The legs have more lattice work at the bottom. The top comes off and can be held in place by 2 bronze nails for hanging. Very rare bronze lantern. Ask for shipping. H:31cm x W:22cm
