A fascinating antique Art Deco five-light iron and brass chandelier, dating from the 1930’s. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a zigzag design, coming down in a chain to a loop finial ornamented with leaves and volutes. Five grooved bands, ornamented with a grooved pattern crossed by zigzags, form the body of the chandelier. The chandelier arms are connected by a dynamic brass design with hints of red and green; each chandelier arm holds a bobeche with a zigzag border. The chandelier finishes in a geometric finial with a leaf in the center. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20 1/2” wide and 20 1/2” tall, and the fixture is 36” long overall.
