Art Deco 6 Shade Chandelier by Markel...Two Available!

Antique Art Deco slip shade 6-shade chandelier by Markel. This light, circa 1935, was part of their "8800 Series". This chandelier was Model 8836, which was top-of-the-line for this 8800 series. Their 1930s catalog says it has a spread of 20".

Markel was one of the biggest companies working in the Great Depression, and had locations in America, Canada, and Australia. They made a lot of the antique slip shade fixtures seen in antique shops today, and were a quality company.

Red bronze finish. The finish, while being cleaned up a mite, is original and simply beautiful to the max. You cannot find a much better antique red bronze finish slip shade chandelier than this one.

Wonderful condition. The shades are simply a treat, and in remarkable condition. Probably made by Consolidated Glass or another quality glass house.
