Art Deco ceramic handpainted fan vase made in England, 1930''S by Tuscan Decoro Pottery. Measures a tad over 8 1/4 inches high. Round base in cream with painted red-brown concentric circles. The vase fans out on the sides in curving flutes, with a fantastic series of globes on either side. These orbs are graded in size with biggest on the top. The top of the vase is curved and rounded and forms different shapes, depending on the angle it is seen from. The surface is handpainted with wonderful flowers in pinks, orange, yellows, reds, browns on an unusual pale mint-green ground. The top rim is painted with an emerald-green and white stripe. A number of marks under the vase: incised D 331, believed to be the model number; D331/812 and a O in a brown handwritten mark just below an incised curve with a dot, which might be the potter''s mark. Factory stamp in green ink: TUSCAN DECORO POTTERY and Made in England. Vase is in very good condition with no chips/cracks/damage of any sort. Crazing of the glaze is normal and acceptable for pottery of this age and can be seen clearly in the ''photos. Green veld was attached by a previous owner to protect tables/surfaces from scratching.
