1930's
Featured is a beautiful set of bookends produced by the J.B. Hirsch Foundry circa the 1930s . The composition is of painted spelter ("French bronze") and ivorine (faux ivory/celluloid). The ladies are dressed in navy and cobalt blue gowns, trimmed in dark gold. Their faces are of ivorine and the bases are of heavy spelter. These bookends measure 6.5" high and 5 x 4" at the bases. They have the original protective felt coverings on the bottoms.
