Antique signed Ferdinand Preiss miniature carved figurines of baby children. Made very early in the 20th century - probably between 1907-1920''s, in Germany. Measurements:approx 23mm (a little over 3/4inches) high. Length of the crawling baby is approx 1 1/4 inches (31mm) total length. Two toddlers - tiny children, marvellously captured in these hand done carvings. A little child sits and holds out one hand,chubby legs stretched out, a small smile on the tiny mouth. The other child is crawling along, dressed only in a bib, the rest of his body literally ''butt naked''. Details are amazing: from the tiny fingers and toes to the exact facial features and hair. ''photos are highly enlarged - see the details of this great quality work. Babies are always cute and these two are exceptionally so, especially the little boy with his naked behind.
