The pride of the 1930's Matson Line was the luxury Liner "Lurline" (named for the Matson's daughter). These cabinets, removed when the craft was renovated as a troop ship in 1942,came from the saloon of the ship and are fashioned of walnut and maple, with finely carved boxwood panels on each door. Measuring about 30 inches by 14 inches by 31-1/2 high they provide excellent lock-up storage with two shelves inside.
