From a book published in Berlin in 1914, this piece was (we believe) designed to promote a company''s marketing and press relations/monitoring skills (we are guessing as we don''t speak German, but that seems to be the gist of the message). Text reads: Vornehmstes Institut, Mit Ersten Referenzen - Ausfchnitte aus in und auslandischen Fachund tages-zeitungen uber Jedes Gebiet - Dringend erforderlich fur alle Reklameverbraucher. Signed by Amar - a pre WWII German Jewish artist who worked with Julius Klinger and others, and of whom very little is known. This piece is unsigned and shows some signs of aging - foxing at the edges and yellowing of the paper in spot, but nothing affects the image - it is clean, crisp and clear. Each image measures roughly 3 x 4 inches, and the total framed size of the piece is 15 x 18.5 inches. Please note that this and all of our prints, pochoirs and posters are original, non-reproduction works of art. Please e-mail with any questions or requests for additional photos.
