There is something innocent and spectacular about advertising from the Art Deco period - it gets the message across so gently but yet so forcefully at the same time. I find this piece very evocative of the Gazette du Bon Ton and other fashion periodicals of the time in France - simple, elegant, but very, very Deco. Some combination of fashion and environment so that the viewer is always reminded that fashion and life does not take place in a vacuum ... An unusual combination of colors designed to catch the eye of a consumer as they were shopping, this was a point of sale piece which hung from the rafters of a store ... It is impressive and colorful and in A condition - some aging is noted at the borders but the image is clear and intact. Probably produced in the 1930s, it is being sold for $125. It is an authentic and non-reproduction piece as is every other piece we sell. We are happy to ship worldwide. Thank you for your interest.
