Usually when I list posters I like to be able to mention something about the artist, the poster itself - where it comes from, etc. I always like to find that a story helps make the poster more of a living thing. However, in this case I can find no information on the poster, the tabacco company or the image. So, I am reduced to figuring it out from my own experience and research. It appears to date from the Deco period, and I would imagine that the image used would have been inspired by the worldwide icon of a smoking feather headress wearing person of Native descent (I apologize the the seeming political incorrectness, but some posters are a product of their times). Poster measures 23 x 32 inches and is in A- condition (there appears to have been a small hole which was placed - it does not affect the image). Colors are vibrant and striking, as is the image. Poster has been professionally linen lined.
