Georges Dola (1872-1950) was a masterful posterist specializing in opera posters. La Teresina was created in 1929, is linen backed, measures 23.5 x 31 and is in excellent condition. Produced for an operetta in three acts, from an adaptation by Mrs. Leon UHL and Jean Marietti with Music by Oscar Strauss, the poster was printed by Max Eschig & Company in Paris in 1927. It is signed in the stone by the artist, and we particularly like the shadow of Napoleon in the wagon''s interior. All of our posters, prints, pochoirs and ephemera are vintage, original, non-reproduction works.
