Massonet, Armand
24,5 x 39,5
This wonderful poster was purchased in Brussels and was produced by a very well-known Belgian painter and poster artist known as Armand Massonet. Made for the Belgian railways, it illustrates some of the vast forest in the Belgian countryside and shows the colors and depth of the forest in a most striking way (a forestry engineer who came to the gallery felt that it was one of the most evocative and true visions of his work that he had ever seen). Known primarily as a painter, Massonet produced few posters, and as such, this piece is rather rare and exceptional, not only for its beauty, but also for its mere existence. According to WIkipedia: Armand Massonet (1892 Ã 1979) was a Belgian painter.
