About The Poster: This poster is part of a large collection of posters amassed by a Dutch diplomat When in Poland in the 1970's and 80's. At that time in Poland all kinds of barriers of artistic expression where being broken, and these posters are some of the best examples of the period. Never intended to last, they were printed on very cheap paper and in very limited runs: Polish poster stores have taken to reprinting many of these posters and have re-introduced some of the artists featured here to the current adolescent contingent. The posters are lined. This poster is by Franciszek Starowieyski, one of the most reknown designers of modern Polish posters. This particular piece can be found in the book "100th anniversary of Polish poster art" by the Biuro Wystaw and Krzysztof Dydo.
