Large painting by Bob Byerley. He is such a master of the trompe l'oil style of painting. Even in one of his earlier pieces such as this one painted around 1978 his technique is masterful. The tradition of trompe l'oeil painting is a long and rich one. To be done well it requires patience, devotion to detail and a vivid imagination. When you and others gaze upon his finished masterpieces, the rewards are many. Bob has always adhered to this tradition and this piece is no exception.
