Pair of 18th century Florentine still life paintings. Oil on canvas in their original frames. One shows a magpie with a basket of vegetables, an urn of flowers, and scattered mushrooms. The other shows a parrot with a basket of berries, an urn of flowers and a lemon. Both paintings have been cleaned but not relined. The canvases are in good condition. The surfaces show some cracqueleure comensurate with their age, but no lifting paint. The frames measure 57.5 inches wide by 41 inches high by 2 and three quarter inches deep.. The frame stock is 3 one half inches wide.
