This is a wonderful Russian icon of The Deesis with Christ Enthroned. The two figures on either side of Christ are Mary the Mother of God and Saint John the Baptist. The artwork on this piece is very nice and it is almost completely covered in gold leaf. The facial expressions are shown as very peaceful and Christ's robe is very beautiful.
