Extraordinary antique artist initialed in the lower left, painting on porcelain plaque depicting a red headed nude nymph riding a dolphin in the waves. It looks windy as her hair and ribbon are blowing in the wind. This is one of the most beautiful and rare KPM porcelain plaques you might ever hope to find. This has been in my own collection for more than 30 years. It has never been listed for sale on the internet or offered for sale since I acquired it for my own collection. The painting has a blue glaze title on the back that reads TEMPETE (STORM). The back of the frame has some writing about the artist dating it 1840, titling it nude on a dolphin spirit of storm. The colors, quality and subject of this magnificent painting are beyond description, the pictures tell it all. The plaque has a beautiful gilt wood antique frame measuring 12 inches high by 8-3/4 inches wide. The plaque measures 9 inches high by 6 inches wide. Both the plaque and the frame are in superb condition guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. (Item #72322)
