Original era manufacture. Standard pattern 45-70 bayonet as used throughout the Indian Wars and Spanish American War. Mix of blue and steel patina on the blade surface, with scattered light surface corrosion on the shank and socket. The scabbard has a steel patina finish with a sizable dent on the reverse about mid-way down its length. The blade draws easily without binding, sound leather frog with a bras U.S. swivel button.
