Circa 1950 23" high by 31" wide unframed 30" high by 37" wide framed This is a pallet knife painting of a san swept landscape similar to Carmel, California. It is in murky shades of a moggy morning featuring twisted cypress trees. The painting is signed lower right by European listed artist H. Hiersch 1918-1986. There is evidence of craquelure but it does not detract from the stark beauty of the painting. The frame is ornate antique white with brushed highlights of gold.
