A beautiful fall wooded landscape oil painting on canvas mounted to board by Ethel Greenough Holmes.Ms. Holmes divided her painting time between homes in Missouri and Massachusetts. Born in 1879, she was a member and exhibited at The Socirty of Independent Artists. The painting measures 30 1/2'' wide by 23 1/2'' high framed, and 26 1/2'' wide by 19 1/2'' high sight size. The painting was mounted,cleaned and varnished in 1940 according to info on the back. There is 1 small paint chip far right side and perhaps a stray paint mark upper left quadrant.
