LeRoy Daniel MacMORRIS is a well listed mid-west artist. This is a interesting McMorris painting that exhibits much of his early work in a Impressionist feel to the landscape. Done on board and in a early frame this is probably done in the 1910-1920 era. He later tightened up a bit and did murals and many great paintings. This little beauty is a great example of his early work and measures 15'' by 13'' in frame and 10'' x 8'' out of frame. No real condition issues but a cleaning would certainly brighten it up. Circa 1920. Sales to $3,250 and beyond and estimates of $7,000 and more.
