Year 1776 Original Mezzotint or Copper Etching published by John Boydell the Engraver in Cheapside, England, Bottom left name reads Claude Le Lorrain, delin. and bottom left: R. Cordin fecit. The description or title underneath reads: "Published Jan. 1st, 1776 by John Boydell Engraver in Cheapside, From the Original Drawing in the Collection of the Duke of Devonshire" Corenr left also has the number 135. The etching shows a woman playing violin near sheep & cows to Romanesque background. Condition: The image is in very good condition, the white margin has a crease in upper left. The matting is no good. The Mezzotint is attached to the matting with two pieces of scotch tape at top corners. Size: Image 10.25" X 8.25", paper size: 17" X 11.25.
