ken lonechild is a cree artist, born in 1960, who paints from his life and memories of the early years on the white bear first nation in southeastern saskatchewan. his works include illusions of the Spirit World as understood by his people. ken portrays people living off the land and their relationship to it, compared to the imposing realities of the oil rigs on lands where his people once hunted. he is honoured to have some of his creations hang in the canadian embassy in washington, dc, as well as in private collections and galleries throughout north america.the dimension 12"x16" on stretch canvas signed and titled by artist."cutting some teepee poles" ken lonechild.
