The Tavern Hotel in Bunjes Park was built by Mattie Katzer who operated it until his death. A Mr. Castleman bought the hotel from the Katzer estate. In the summer of 1955 while painting was going on the hotel caught fire and burned. This charcoal sketch was artistically drawned by Ken Harkless and is a rememberance of the old Wawasee Lake era. It is on manilla paper and very suitable for framing.
