A fine etching by listed artist Donald Witherstine. Donald Witherstine (1896-1961) was an American etcher and wood cut artist who studied at Bradley College, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Shortly thereafter he moved to Provincetown to complete his studies in graphic art under George Elmer Browne. This etching is titled Founders Hall Loomis School- Windosr CT. Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school in Windsor CT that was started in 1874. The date of this etching is unknown. Very good condition, measures a total of 18 1/2"x 15 1/4" with the maple frame.
