Unsigned, oil on canvas painting of a castle on the banks of a large waterway. This 19th century Victorian painting also depicts a sailboat with two people near the shore and another smaller boat farther out in the water. There are large cliffs looming on the opposite bank and two colorful figures in the arch way of the castle. Very well painted, with old pin point repairs only visible from the rear of the canvas and some cracking to the paint on the front. The painting is in an old period gilt gesso frame that has old repairs. 31" wide x 22" high.
