Circa 2000 15” high by 13” wide framed 10 ½” high by 8” wide unframed This is a stunningly beautiful watercolor on silk painted by Helen Larsen. The color are outstanding and each face is punctuated with a silver border. Water color is one of the most difficult mediums of art. Being done on silk is a miracle. Helen says “ the liquid colors flow and glide through the silk with an artist’s touch and focus”. Our artist is a retired college art teacher and a member of the Watercolor Artist Society of Sonoma County. The artist lived in Hawaii for years and has an excellent memory for the warmth of both the native population and the climate. This is represented in her work.
