Offered is a pair of early football etchings by Rosamond Tudor (American, 1878-1949). Ms. Tudor was apparently a pioneer in newspaper illustration of sporting events. These pieces show a great feel for the action -- one a running play, the other showing the passed football still in midair. Both are pencil signed "Rosamond Tudor" as well as being signed "Tudor" in the plate. The measurements listed below are for the framed pieces. One etching is 7 1/2"h. x 11 3/4"w., and the other is 7 3/4"h. x 11 1/2"w.
