Ludwig Hans Fischer (1848-1915) VITTORIO MATTEO CORCOS at +/- 27 years of age ~ it is the only early portrait we have seen of the master-painter; and the only portrait we know of by a fellow artist; large miniature portrait signed and titled ~ Provenance Alexander von Warsberg (the portrait was sent by Fischer to art-writer von Warsberg (to the back name and date) ~ Ludwig Hans Fischer (1848 Salzburg - 1915 Vienna) was a renowned Austrian painter and etcher of the 19th century who worked in Vienna. He studied at the Vienna Academy under Jacoby, Lichtenfels and Unger, lived in Rome in 1875-1877, made trips to Norway, the Mediterranean countries, East Asia and to the Orient. Works of his can be seen in the greatest Austrian and international museums. Well listed artist, good auction results. Very good auction results for Vittorio Corcos. One of the only known portraits of the artist RARE!!
