Francisco Goya, Spanish, 1746-1828, etching with aquatint, From "La Tauromaquia" (Bullfighting), image size: 8 3/8 x 12 inches, "La Tauromaquia" blindstamp, sheet size: 13 7/8 x 17 3/4 inches, From the 5th edition printed in 1921 in an edition of 200. From Goya's series of 33 etchings depiction various elements of bullfighting, frist published in 1816. Seven more etchings were added posthumously by a later publisher, using images found on the backs of plates. A total of eight editions have been printed, the lasy by the Real Academia de San Fernando in 1984.
