David Rose (American, 1910-2006) was an artist who, early on, worked for such animation studios as Walt Disney and Warner Brothers. During WW II he worked in the Armed Forces Motion Picture Unit, which made propaganda films and cartoons. His greatest fame came from the 23 years -- from 1973-1996 -- that he spent as a courtroom artist during some of the most notorious trials of the late 20th century, including those of Roman Polanski, Patty Hearst, Rodney King, John DeLorean, and Klaus Barbie. Most of his work is held in archives at USC and UCLA. Measurements below are for the framed piece. The image size is 9 1/2"h. x 6 3/4"w.
