This is a lovely decorative accessory custom made by California artist Kathleen Caid for Nightingale Design in the 1980''s. The two bookplates features four Victorian women dressed for a costume party. They are trimmed in French silk lingerie ribbon. The mat is covered with a rich gold brocade vintage fabric accented by a green ribbon and silk pale pink lingerie roses. The frame is vintage gold wood from the same period. This is a beautiful piece, so pretty that I have kept it all these years which flies in the face of my motto of giving your very best merchandise to your clients first.
