Beautiful antique painting on porcelain plaque depicting Psyche and Cupid. The plaque is beautifully painted and is in excellent condition. The back of the plaque is titled L'amour et Psyche d'apres Bouguereau. This painting on porcelain plaque is a miniature hand painted subject after the original oil on canvas painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau. This painting dates late 19th century. The original by Bouguereau was painted in the 1880s. This is a gorgeous plaque in excellent condition exquisitely painted with beautiful colors. The back of the plaque also has a fleur de lis mark and is marked Firenze. It has its original 19th century label from the gallery where it was sold in Europe more than 100 years ago. The plaque is set in an antique carved gilt wood frame. The plaque is in excellent condition, the frame shows some restoration. This is a beautiful plaque guaranteed to please as are all our items.
