Anselm Feuerbach recently undiscovered self-portrait, from the estate of the artist (stamp to the back) signed by the artist, with mention of where the item was made (ROME, in German ROM) ~ Important 19TH Century artist, with works in main museums in the world (There is a self-portrait in the Hermitage from around the same period)
In the same sale as this item, another undiscovered painting from the (Nachlass, German for estate) was sold. Please ask for images of the item. (we did not purchase this item)
Our item has some slight issues, but we decided to sell it as is.
This is, everyone will agree, a fabulous find; Feuerbach was known for his self-portraits, and portraits of the love of his life, Nanna Risi (She later left Feuerbach for Frederick Lord Leighton with whom she was said to have had a platonic relationship ~
In 2009 a work by Feuerbach sold for $756.337 Dollars
