This oil on linen canvas depicts the Ponte di Rialto - the oldest and most famous of Venice's many bridges - spanning the Grand Canal. Originally built of wood in 1181, the current stone structure was completed in 1591. The measurements below refer to the framed piece; the image size is 19 1/4"h. x 23 1/4"w.
