Here we offer 2 watercolour landscapes by leading British Naive school artist Fred Aris. Although better known for oils since his death in 2012 his watercolours have become well collected. Both paintings date from the 1960's and 1 measure approx 29 cm x 37 cm and the other of Chichester Cathedral 28 cm x20.
Fred Aris was born in London in 1932 and is regarded as one of the leading lights in the Naive Art Movement in the 20th century. Although best known for his cartoon style works which have been sold at Christies, Bonhams in both Europe and America the paintings we offer have also become very collectable since his death in 2012. Here is an opportunity to purchase some of his work which may well prove a good long term investment.
