clemence wescoupe(1951- ). born on the long plains reserve, near portage la prairie, manitoba, wescoupe began painting in 1971. working in oil, acrylic, silkscreen, and lithography, his subjects include ojibway legends and animal spirits such as the wolf, kingfisher, swan, thunderbird, and medicine turtle, as well as mother and child. he is best known for his works with birds in a flowing, graceful style consistent with the woodland group.the size of painting 24" x 30" on stretch canvas.
