Helen Hyde was a pioneer of color woodblock printmaking in America. In 1899, she traveled to Japan where she remained for 15 years. There she studied with the master printmaker Kano Tomonobu. Her prints frequently portray women and children performing their activities of daily life. Condition is excellent. Offered in a modern frame, mounted to museum standards.
