Eugene Joseph Verboeckhoven 1798 1881 In Holland; wonderful watercolour by this master-painter, with work in Rijksmuseum, Hermitage, Louve, MET-museum etc... very good auction prices ~ this is a wonderful example of the artist abilities; the human expressions he painted on faces of animals, were renown, and the artist exhibited therefore in salons all over the world ~ in the distance one can see the familiar dutch windmills; as a Belgian painter Verboeckhoven was very familiar with the Netherlands, he also exhibited in Amsterdam. The quality of the work is very good indeed...
