Pair of signed and dated original art. I believe these are water-color and pencil. These charming images of frogs and toad stools are very familiar looking and probably by a well listed artist. Unfortunately, I cannot make out the name only the date, 1886. One features a pair of toad lovers under a large toadstool, the other is a single frog, legs crossed lounging on a toadstool, chewing on a flower stem. They are in their original oval wood frames which have a mahogany finish, gilt interior trim and off white mats. The frames have some wear but the art is in excellent condition. There is a paper label on the back of the frames that says "Swains Art Store", Plainfield, N.J., established 1868. 11"x 13 1/2" framed, the art is 6" x 7 1/2". Price 895. 00 for the pair.
