This dramatic work was created in 1974 by acclaimed Mendocino, CA, artist Hilda Pertha, whose primary medium was oil, but who also spent periods of exploration into sculpture, prints, water media, collage, and industrial design. In her own words, her work "is based on natural rhythms with a slant toward abstraction." Her first solo exhibition was in 1944 in Philadelphia, and her work has shown in galleries and museums across the United States, as well as in Spain, France, Norway and Peru.
