Now here is one you won't often find! Solid bronze two-spiked pitchfork from the Hallstatt culture that existed in central Europe around 1200 to 800 B.C. Thought to be related to the Celtic tribes, the Hallstatt existed in Austria and Hungary and produced some of the finest bronze work to come from the ancient world. This very unusual example may have been used as a weapon or purely for votive purposes, with incised decoration still clearly evident on one of the tines.
