From northern Peru, ca 900 to 500 BC. Depicting a rather insideous insect called the kissing bug - parasites of the trypanosomatidae family. Called the kissing bug for its tendency to bite around the lips. This "lovely" parasite is responsible for chagas, leishmaniasis and sleeping sickness.
