Ancient Pre-Columbian Figure from South America, Colombia region, Quimbaya culture, ca. 500 - 1400 AD. Terracotta hollow-molded standing male figure with hands held to chest and rectangular shaped head. The eyes and mouth are long horizontal slits while the large nose is realistically modeled. The septum is pierced to hold a now-missing nose ring, perhaps one of gold or copper. 7-1/8"H, intact/in generally excellent condition and a rare form.
