An extremely rare and important ceremonial clyster tube, dating to 800-1200 AD.
This outstanding antique measure impressive 53 cm. in length and is completely intact! This makes it the largest we've ever seen.
The tube looks a bit like a horn and is finely painted.
Condition: Museum quality for size and type!
Provenance: Lyngby collection, very old collection, most pieces incl. this tube, were imported in the 1960ties. The entire collection was approved by the cultural authorities in the relevant South American countries and the collection was released for open sale.
