Beautifully simple! From ancient South America, Northern Peru, dating to the Moche I period, ca. 200 AD. Large and near-perfect redware ceramic stirrup vessel covered in kaolin slip; in the form of a rounded fruit, probably in the tomato family, with the white stem extending from the top. 7-1/2â€H, save one tiny flea-bite on side of spout, intact/virtually perfect.
